My roots
Growing up beside the Busiika track
By Ian Sexton · 13 October 2026 · Edited from Ian’s supplied personal story
I grew up around the Busiika motocross track in Uganda. Watching the sports around Extreme Adventure Park helped shape my interests. Motocross and skydiving became my favourite sports.
Busiika also means friendship to me. I grew up with friends like Jero stylist, kalema dizo, tero stylist and bama milimix. They are part of the story of where I come from.
Today, that love for motocross is part of Uganda Motorsport Hub. This site brings together the riders, teams, bikes and places that interest me. Owning a motocross bike of my own is still one of my goals.
